This man (or Antichrist) is distinguished by the number 666. Is this Nelson Mandela – prisoner number 46664 and founder of the Umkhonto we Sizwe?
All those that serve the Beast will receive a mark – a requirement for buying and selling goods. Is this a RFID microchip implant?
The prophecy also says the head of the Beast will have ten horns. Are these the leaders from the G8, EU and China?
Revelations describes an entity called Babylon the Great. Is this New York – home of the United Nations and the world's largest stock exchange?
Only time will tell if these predictions come to pass, but if they do then only truth, love and returning good for evil will overcome these dark forces. We must be careful not to pass judgement on these individuals; they are children of God just like us, even if they are guided by Satan, God's long lost son.
The direct reference to the number 666 in Revelations often begins with the sentence "this requires wisdom", or "Here is wisdom, let he who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, the number is six-hundred and sixty-six".(REV, 13:18).
ReplyDeleteMy point is that it should take more than a coincidence. If you wanted to find the AntiChrist, then this passage implies that it will take more complex understanding. Perhaps the passage number itself is involved. But I don't think you can just outright take the number 666 as the symbol of the AntiChrist.
There's lots of neat little tricks to find 666 in different things. for example, if you take the alphabet and set each letter to a numerical letter (A = 100, B = 101, C = 102; or something like that...) you can take names like HITLER or DISNEY and add their letters together to get 666. But you can use tricks like that on pretty much anything, and if you do it the right way you can make anything equate 666. It's actually kind of an unusual number in that way. They say the devil is a tricky fellow, so it makes sense that the number to identify the beast would have such an ambiguous meaning.
Anyways, I'm sorry to come down on your theory like this, but if a passage of the bible is telling you outright to consider the meaning behind it, I don't think you should take its subject at face value. I actually wrote most of this article wondering why you were coming down on Nelson Mandela, before I remembered that this was an _anarchist_ christian site, so sorry if I sound kind of brash.

He's got banners at his concerts showing "46664 it is in our hands". His Face is now on the South African Bank notes. Almost everyone is being accused of being the antichrist, from the pope right through to Obama. Never was there a Day that I saw people give Mandela that label...whether it's on the Net, tv or newspapers. what more do we want? almost anyone and everyone can be an Antichrist but who is The Antichrist? ReplyDeletePersonally I am a postmillennialist, believing that we still have a thousand year period of peace and harmony (a time when the Beast is locked away) to look forward to before any judgement day/end of humanity. I don't foresee Jesus' second coming for a few thousand years yet.
